GUIDE SCHOOL:

Our intensive eight-day
workshops are designed for those wishing to work as commercial river guides as
well as people wanting to gain in-depth knowledge of safe rafting techniques
for their own private adventures. The emphasis is on learning to read
whitewater, Class III-IV safety techniques, boat handling and maneuvering, camp
cooking, river conservation, and the over-all methods of providing a safe and
fun river experience. Your instructors will emphasize increasing your verbal
skills, self-confidence and abilities to be an effective team player and
leader. Instruction will be both on land and on the water. Basic instruction
will be given on the South Fork American River. If water level permits, you may
also have the chance to raft on the North Fork and Middle Fork American.

posters you can use to help you organize and market your trip.
Free spaces are as follows: On
all of our rivers 12 guests includes either 1 space free for the group
organizer or 10% off for the group! 24 guests includes 2 spaces free, plus a
10% large group discount, plus the organizer receives free rental gear.
In exchange for the discounts,
the organizer distributes all trip information to the members of the group,
collects all of the money and sends in one payment for the group. You may
collect checks and credit card numbers. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American
Express, Discover.
Only one discount per person may
apply. In most cases, youth 16 years and younger already receive a discount, so
would not be counted toward the 12th person free.
